    dear users,

I have question to you. I am collector of classical music. Actually I have this question for a long time, but I nevert mentioned before.
    Now I mention it here.
When I download complete CD rips, created by EAC, I always want to convert them to mp3 files. I now how to do that, that is not the problem.
I use foobar to convert the losless to mp3 files. And I have the originals:

Evgeny Kissin - Schumann- Sonata No. 1, Carnaval (.flac).cue
Evgeny Kissin - Schumann- Sonata No. 1, Carnaval (.wav).cue
Evgeny Kissin - Schumann- Sonata No. 1, Carnaval.flac

Only the first file I can open with foobar. It is okay for me. I get the files in a list in foobar.
The reason why I am first converting the flac to mp3 is that I don't want to burn the CUE to a cd directly.
I have a micro stereo set and this supports playback from USB. I have a USB where I put my music on. I do not use CDs.
My micro set can only read mp3, aac and wav. I prefer mp3 for the 320 kbps cbr quality.
If I directly burned this EAC to the CD then I had not the 'pause/broken' problem which I now have with the mp3s.
Tracks on music CD's follow one to another without pause. But I have now single several mp3s who are broken and I do not have that smoothy following over.
I know that I can convert the FLAC to 1 big mp3 file. In that case there woud not be pauses. That would be fine.
The problem is that I want no pauses plus single mp3s so I can search/switch easily in those 30 mp3s (so not 1 big track, but several).
Who knows how this can be done? And I have to do it on a USB, no CD.

    Thanks by advance.

Thanks for the info. Wiki said that it is not possible for every format to be 'gappless'. I understand that.
I know already what are the options:

    1. Do nothing about it. Just listen the music variations with gaps, though it is annoying.
    2. Convert the FLAC to 1 mp3 file as I said before, that will hopefully result with no gaps.
