hai there guys, i just wondering, i was playing around with after effects cs6, and i got a composition, inside it consist of a text layer and also an image layer.
so i just wanna ask is there any way to copy the effect of the text layer to the image??because even after text is faded away the image will still be there when i play it...
p/s : i am totally new in after effect so sorry if i am slow to catch up...

Could be wrong (I'm not at a PC that has AE near, and I'm rusty), but I think it's as simple as:
 1. Highlight Effect Parameter in text layer
 2. "Copy"
 3. Highlight other track/layer
 4. "Paste"

	Scott is absolutely correct.

You can also collapse the layers into a precomposition and fade the whole thing out, or add a color layer on top (say, black) and fade that "in" to make a fade out.

In your case, if I'm reading correctly, any of them will work, but as comps get more complex you will want to have different tricks up your sleeve depending on the circumstances
