I have lots of video files that I want to cut. I only want a few minutes worth of video from each file. Usually I cut 5 - 6 sections from a single file. Problem with most video cutters is that they just cut once and dump everything else away. Having to do this one by one, and with 30 videos to go through is really troublesome.

Anyone can recommend video editors that can cut multiple videos from the original and export/render each as independant files? Even better if it theres queue function or scripting feature.

Any decent NLE could do this.

Either render each cut section on the same timeline separately or create a timeline for each section and render it.

  3. mkvmerge, use option "split after timecodes"
and u can use mplayer to display the time of each part you want to cut.
use this command: mplayer -edlout test.edl <nameofvideo>
