Nero Crashes!!! DVD-r Burning!

I use the new Nero 5578 to burn DVD-r in both W2000 and XP and it always fails with the message "comunication Faliure"! Previous version of Nero didn't crash but the DVDs didn't play on my standalone!

Any idea?

I have the same problem with Nero 5578 and XP but it doesn't always fail though I do get the message "comunication Faliure"
if you find an answer could you tell me I'll do like wise

I changed the ide port to PIO instead of DMA and it worked fine after that!
