  1. Is there any way to setup two-pass XviD encoding in VirtualDub in one step? I'd like to batch convert a bunch of videos without having to stop at every pass to reset the XviD configuration under Video Compression.

    Thanks.

Yep, or another batch tools. See under other downloads in the virtualdub tool page: https://www.videohelp.com/tools/Virtualdub#download

  4. You can easily do this in VDub by saving each pass as a "Job". You can find this option in the "Save As" menu. Do this to the first pass, go back and set up the second pass (then save as a job). Your previous setting for each pass should not change when changing the source video files. In essence you can add many jobs to the list easily with the same xvid rules.

I used to use Fairuse Wizard for batch xvid encodes - unless there is a particular reason you need virtualdub I would be inclined to use that.

I don't tend to use xvid much any more - tend to encode to MP4 using handbrake. Better results in terms of quality for a given filesize.
