I have a Samsung HMX-H205 High Def camcorder that saves the recorded video files as .MP4 files.
Every time I try to import video clips into TMPGENC Authoring Works 5 in order to create a BluRay disc, I'm told that the 25 gigs of files I'm working with are being re-encoded and the entire process will take approx. 118 hours.
No way at all I'm waiting that length of time.
Anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the files to just be dealt with in the software "as they are" without this lengthy and seemingly unnecessary re-encoding being done? I thought when I purchased this Samsung HMX-H205 camcorder and the TMPGENC Authoring Works 5 software, it was just going to be a drag and drop thing with getting the files over into the software without all of this extremely lengthy video re-encoding that it forces me to wait on every time.
I feel that I have a ton of files saved from the camcorder onto my external hard drive that I'll never be able to get over to a BluRay disc.
Very frustrating... any helpful information on how/if I can convert the .MP4 files created by the camcorder to a "standard compliant" BluRay format before importing them into the TMPGENC Authoring Works 5 software would be very helpful, or any other info. anyone can provide to make this BluRay disc creation process easier.
Thanks.

Unfortunately I do not have a sample of your mp4 video-codecs. If You send me a sample I could be more specific. If it has AC3 or PCM vaw sound You could load it in "TSMuxerGUI" and join files to a length of your choise without recoding. You could have TsMuxer deliver an AVCHD folder which You could burn in ImgBurn. All Freeware programs.
You generate too large files when You mention 30 GB files. Only a super computer could render those. -
Thank you for your reply and suggestions.
I probably was not clear with the initial information I presented in this thread.
I am actually working with considerably smaller files. Some of the files are as small as 50 MB in size and anywhere from there to 1 GB in size.
Altogether total when put together, the entire files are just under 25 GB in size, appropriate enough to fit on a bluray disc.
I hope that additional clarification helps.
I will glad to provide you with a small file for your review. Thank you for offering to look at it.
