    my problem is i cant type in any program on my laptop .the short cut setting are somehow active and causing me loss of keyboard function.using screen keyboarrd.how to reset allbak to defult.usingwindows 7.really need help

    My nephew had some really weird problems with his keyboard on his laptop and I had him reboot it and it fixed the problems. I really don't know anything about short cuts or how to turn them off but if you don't get any better advice try a reboot and see if it helps.

    Fun or odd behavior ... enter safe mode from boot (F8) if the problem dose not appear in safe mode create a new user account, reboot, login to new account and confirm ... if this solves the problem it points to user profile corruption.
