My isp is giving iptv in tests. The problem is they only gave me one stb and i live with my girlfriend.
The stream is udp multicast. I am able to view some of the streams directly with vlc but for some i get only audio and very big pixel like squares instead of video.
I wrote a c program that joins the multicast stream and saved about 30sec of it in a file.

The info i could get from it is this:
    container: mpeg transport stream
    video codec: h.264
    audio codec: ac3 (english)

I posted the file online at

    http://www.mediafire.com/?dgxya4pld1i7h69

Didn't know what extension to put on it since i'm not sure what kind of file it is.
The sound plays ok, and from the whole 30sec video i only see one frame.

I tried to play the file on a few pc's, a ps3, and with all the players i could find.
    The result is the same.

Is there a way to watch these streams?

Yes, thank you, but here is something that puzzles me.

Bellow is a capture from another stream, one that i can watch without any problems.

    http://www.mediafire.com/?4asxnpfisb8lad7

    $ mediainfo file2.out
    General
    ID : 1 (0x1)
    Complete name : file2.out
    Format : MPEG-TS
    File size : 6.15 MiB
    Duration : 15s 288ms
    Overall bit rate : 3 244 Kbps

    Video
    ID : 400 (0x190)
    Menu ID : 290 (0x122)
    Format : MPEG Video
    Codec ID : 2
    Bit rate : 2 825 Kbps
    Compression mode : Lossy
    Encryption : Encrypted

mediainfo also sees this as an encrypted format.
Could you please explain this to me?

I'm not an expert in this type of TV, but one thing that jumps out to me is that the 2nd file is MPEG video and the first file is H.264.
