    in addition to my other somewhat similar post...

    does anyone have any experience with say, taking a .ts file from an HD sat receiver, editing it, but retaining its original .ts format (no re-encoding) and then playing them back on any kind of standalone unit such as the ASUS O!PLAYER, or the HISENSE.

  2. A DreamBox HD is the best you can get, but i never tried myself so i can't confirm this.Otherwise a dvb-s2 card should be enough if you're building a htpc.Look out for the latest produts of brands like terratec or technisat.

    Do they have the wdtv media player in Europe? That plays ts files.
