Ok there is a new Roxette album that is out but I can't buy it yet on the American websites. I did find it on the Amazon German website. My amazon account is already logged in there but it won't let me add the album to the check out cart. It has the same layout as the US amazon website but I can't do a purchase.
Is there are a way to spoof an ip address to make it look like another country?
Bestbuy shows its out on 4/3 but amazon US says 4/17. It looks like I can buy the mp3's off the german website NOW but it won't let me complete the purchase.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
Edit - and yes I know there are, ahem, "other ways" to get this album but I want to buy it.
I would even consider buying the physical disc instead of the mp3s but I think the shipping would be pretty high as an import item.

Well I finally got it!
The "spoof an ip address" was the actual way to do it.
I looked around a lot and saw that people were getting around the geographical restrictions by using a VPN with that country's ip address.
I found a free vpn that had a German IP address. I went and with google translate's help I GOT IT! Fortunately the amazon.de layout is virtually identical to the amazon.com layout. I just need to make sure some of the stuff was in fact the same.
What I liked was my user account worked right away on the German website. It even had and accepted the mastercard that I was using on my American amazon website. It was only like 10.00 or so. Way cheaper than the actual disc would have been and NO SHIPPING CHARGES!
I like the album. There isn't anything ground shattering or anything in it but it is very pleasant and typical of the other albums.
I've already dowloaded it and reuploaded it to my American amazon cloud player for storage. I've burnt a cd of it and copied it to my zune and to a media harddrive I have for my wdtv (though I don't listen to music with my wdtv I just want an extra backup of my purchased and downloaded music that doesn't have a physical original disc to go back to if I ever needed to re-rip it).
I hope this helps anybody that is in a similar predicament. I don't know if I'll end up with a special foreign transaction charge on my mastercard or not since the German website was in EUROS. But at least it completed the transaction. I shouldn't have to do this very often but I know have the album and don't have to wait till April 3rd for Bestbuy to have it online for shipping the disc - also the odd thing was that Amazon.com had the new Roxette album relase date as April 17th - even later. I guess maybe either Bestbuy.com hadn't updated their release date or amazon didn't change their date to the 3rd. Anyway I don't have to worry about that now.Donatello - The Shredder?
