    Hi folks!

Had an epiphany after looking at my massive movie collection (DVDs and BDs) and decided that I should be able to play them all on my A.C. Ryan media player, and put away the boxes! I'm using ImgBurn v2.5.6.0 with full-licensed AnyDVD v6.9.1.0 and so far have no problem turning them into ISO files and playing them on the Playon!HD - until I got to the BD movies (a recent and comparatively smaller collection compared to the DVDs).
Now the 40-or-so-GB ISO files play perfectly fine but it plays the movie immediately instead of going to the 'main menu' first, where you have the scene selection, special features, etc. So my question is if it is at all possible to 'rip' the movie in such a way as to retain all the features of the BD? All my movies are legally bought and I would like to enjoy them in their entirety, even from a backup! Thank you in advance for any help and suggestions.

    My PC:
    Dell Alienware Area 51 ALX
    Intel Core i7-975 @3.33GHz, 8MB
    12GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333Mhz, Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Dual 1792MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295

You can try just rip the BDMV folder and see if you media player supports menus then. But not all media player support menus, see http://www.iboum.com/net-media-players.php?sort=sortrating&chip=&pfilt=&hdd=&net=&fan=...pg=1&rp=bdfull (bd-iso with menu playback)

And you can't rip to any other format than BDMV folder or ISO and keep the menus.

    Thanks Baldrick.

The A.C. Ryan played the menus of the ISO files of DVD movies, just not the BD movies, but I will investigate your link.
    Cheers.

Looks like I found my answer! My older generation A.C. Ryan PlayOn!HD (PV73100) only supports Blu-Ray ISO Simple (BD-Lite) which explains the lack of full BD playback. Oh well, looks like I'm in the hunt for a more up-to-date media player. Thanks again.

  5. Hi khnguyen17,

Did you find an answer to your problem? The reason I ask is that I'm wanting to work out how to make videos (from new Panasonic HD camcorder) with menus, that can be played on a media player? I too have the AC Ryan 73100 model but am looking at the Hi Media 900B.

The closest I have got is: I use Sony's DVD Architect Studio to make a Bluray file (no menus) but outputted as an image (not burned to disc). The video was edited in Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum with chapters. When I play this HD video on Playon , I can use the chapter foward button on the remote which works, but... no menu at the start.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

    Hi KK,

I know for certain that the AC Ryan (our model anyway) will not support full BD playback. See the post from Baldrick and his link: http://www.iboum.com/net-media-playe...pg=1&rp=bdfull So for full BD support (menus, etc. ) we'll have to grab the lastest media player.

  7. Thanks Khnguyen17,
I think Dune (HD Smart D1 looks OK) are the only player that handle full blu-ray iso menus, but their chipset is getting old. I may wait for a while...
    Cheers.
