i have a 64gb crucial and it runs just fine...never had any issues...i wouldn't go with any SSD which is "sandforce" based...to many firmware updates (patriot) and not very reliable...Crucial is rock solid

I agree, although I have an OCZ Agility3 drive and haven't had any problems with it. Lots of folks have though (do a search on it); I got mine cheap and took a chance. OTOH, I have an OCZ Vertex1 with Indilinx controller that has been just fine as well.
The Sandforce drive beats the Indilinx one in benchmarks, but it's less significant than some may make out, certainly far far less than the difference in response between mechanical hard drive and SSD. And who in their right mind gives a damn about benchmark speeds for large file transfers? On an SSD? That's not cost effective to buy one for large file storage.Pull! Bang! Darn!
