Merging mkv failed

I get this error using mkvmerge gui 5.2.1

Error: The track number 0 from the file 'E:\GOODFELLAS2.mkv' cannot be appended to the track number 0 from the file 'E:\GOODFELLAS1.mkv'. The track parameters do not match.

I split the video ts using dvd shrink along time ago to put the movie on 2 single layer dvd's without losing vid quality
i ripped them both the other day using anydvd then converted them to mkv using handbrake
now i want to merge them but got that error.

I've got a few others just like this that wont merge also.


Is there a way i can merge them?

Do they have same audio tracks?

You could demultiplex all video and audio tracks with mkvextractgui2 and then try merge all video and audio tracks separate in mkvmergegui.

Pixel width and display width are slightly off
maybe these are the parameters that it's refering to?
