  1. I have 2 problems:

    1) I have a bin file, but unfortunately the cue file is corrupted or something. I tried to rip the mpg from the bin using the cue (vcdgear) but the file it created was over 200MB smaller than the bin file. I want to be able to extract the mpg from the bin without the cue. I found a previous post that said that you could use VCDeasy to do this, but it seems to want an xml file which I don't have. Any suggestions?

    2) None of my (s)vcds ever resume if I stop the disc. I use vcdeasy and there is a scandata file in the ext folder and chapters work fine. I thought it might be my player (Pioneer dv-440), but I recently downloaded a bin/cue that I burned and does resume. I want the same for the discs I make myself.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Well i have ran into the same problem when trying to convert cue/bin to MPG. The .cue file is not corrupt it probably just needs an adjustment to the text in it. If you want me to look at it , then send to my email. mtierce@hotmail.com I will fix it and send it back to ya.
I have also noticed with VCDgear 2.2 .... anyways the newest release, will make your file 200 - 400 megs smaller than the .bin. But if you use the older version of VCDgear ( 2.0 ??) it will only shave off 30 - 50 megs and the MPG is fine in the end.

If you dont wanna do it this way then you can always use Isobuster to extract the MPG from the .bin file. This works well also.

    Hope this all helps.

  3. http://forum.vcdhelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=217086#217086 (regenerating CUE files from a BIN file of a S/VCD).

As for "resume" after "stop", this is a player specific function... On my player, it will only "resume" a stopped S/VCD if the video clip is a <playlist> (i.e., it won't resume a <selection> ) or if I turn off PBC.
