    I have a JVC SR MV40 machine but the VHS part does not work. All I want to do is take VHS and make DVD's out of the. I was told that it is not work it to have the machine fixed that I am better off buying a new machine. Any one have any ideas? What would a new machine be? What is the best to buy?

    what ever you can find. they were all basically low quality cheap crud.
