DVDDecrypter not ripping vobs correctly
I am converting a bunch of music video dvds to vob to play on my computer ..I have done at least 400 DVDs so far ..but I came to a group of 100 or so them that don't want to work and there has got to be a way to do this so i am looking for help
Having said that I need to explain it this way some of the music videos actually have intros so they need to ebbe combined as one vob
Example
Video 1 ...chapter 1
Video 2 ...chapter 2 and 3
Video 3 ...chapter 4
Video 4 ...chapter 5 and 6
I can get the program to rip tehm as individul chapters but I want it to do it as to rip separately but i can't get them to rip each video with it 2 chapters
I have tried changing the file splitting settings but no matter what i do it doesn't seem to want to work ..any suggestions
Thanks
Ed

We were all NEWBIES once and the only stupid question is the one that's not asked?

While I do not think it is the problem here, I want to point out that neither DVDDecrypter nor DVDShrink have been updated in YEARS and neither can handle some of the more recent "bad sector" disc copy protection schemes like ARCCOS.

Generally speaking you want to use DVDDecrypter in IFO (not ISO but IFO) mode for this. However, do note that it is always possible that the DVD is simply put together in such a way to prevent you from ripping to separate chapters and in such cases you may simply have to edit the ripped files into separate pieces yourself.

Can it be done automatically in dvd shrink ???We were all NEWBIES once and the only stupid question is the one that's not asked?

With DVD Decrypter in IFO Mode just choose the chapters you want to decrypt. Check the boxes. Check two boxes if that's what it takes. But it won't do them all automatically, if that's what you're looking for.

Or decrypt them all automatically by cell and then join the 2 cells together that need joining, maybe using Vob2MPEG. Or even VobMerge.
