  1. Hi

Looking for some(alot) help, on how to add s second language subtitle to a Homemade DVD movie.

I have tried the guides posted by: TheMatrixx/Paddington/bluedha. no luck.

These guides mention having a pre existing subtile file.

I'm starting from scratch, the dvd doesn't have any type of subtitle file.

    Thx!!! in advance

Use the other subtitle as source(extract it with subrip) and start translating it. I think subtitle edit has a built in translator with help of google translate.

Or extract the main movie from the dvd with vob2mpg and use it in subtitle edit or subtitle workshop and type the subs.

    Then follow https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/277950-How-to-add-new-subtitles-to-an-existing-DVD

  4. Hi Here are the steps I took 1) used SubRip to pull out the subs. saved the file with default names. 2) used Subtitle Edit to open the saved file from above. i then translate the file to the language(chinese), fix common errors. then save the file under a different name. 3) i then use subtitle creator to save the file as sup format. 4)launch the dvd authoring tool. setup all the parameters(pgcdemux/muxman/vobblanker). Also the output folder. I then select the sup file I saved earlier, and the appropriate language(chinese). 5) sit and wait. Receive the ok msg. 6) then i play thru smplayer. it seems to work, can you suggest and/or correct my procedures and/or offer some tips. Thx!
