Every video app I've ever used (>hundreds) has been able to play Uncompressed RGB (AVI).

The problem is most likely NOT "can it play it?", but rather "can it play it smoothly?" and that's a different matter altogether.

Uncompressed RGB (AVI or any other kind of container) is VERY dependent upon resolution:
    1/4 D1 (~352x240, 24bit @ 30fps) = 352 * 240 * 24 * 30 = 58 Mbps (not counting audio, etc)
    D1 (720x480, 24bit @ 30fps) = 720 * 480 * 24 * 30 = 237 Mbps
    HD (1920x1080, 24 @ 30fps) = 1920 * 1080 * 24 * 30 = 1.39 Gbps
    (btw, 4k stereoscopic hdr @ 48fps = 3996 *2160 * 48 * 48 *2 = 37 Gbps!)

So the 1/4 D1 can be played in realtime on many modern desktops, the D1 can only be played on very powerful PCs that use a quad Raid0 (or similar) hard drive setup and other infrastructure optimizations, and the HD can probably only be played on a few "super-computer" setups (like Hollywood "cloud servers").

Those are the facts, no way of getting around them without making some compromises - which most of the time are in the form of ... COMPRESSION.

Can you post the details from the avi? Use mediainfo, open video and View->text.

Most current hard drives have enough sustained throughput to play full D1 uncompressed RGB now. Note your calculations are bits per second not byte per second. Single drives can now sustain between about 60 and 120 MB/s, 480 to 960 Mb/s.

sir may i send you that file so that you will come to know and tell us that how to play or convert then play or import it in after effects.

  9. after effects will accept uncompressed 8bpc RGB/AVI natively (all versions)

Most likely you won't get realtime playback for HD , you have to use ram preview in AE

Do you not have AE installed on your computer ?

Is there some other problem getting the file to work ?

If so, use mediainfo (view=>text) copy & paste the report back here

What is the source of the file (where is it from, a camera? what capture card? how was it transferred,e tc...)

If you can't figure it out, you can post a sample using a free hosting site e.g. mediafire.com, sendspace.com , or if it's <30MB, you can post it directly to this website

  20. Sir uploading that file in mega upload , please give me 5 mins , i ll send you the link

  21. If they are uncompressed, you can use an archiving program like winzip, 7-zip, winrar etc...

This will decrease filesize by over 1/2 for your upload

Do any of the 23 files work ?

  24. Are you sure that same file works on your friend's computer? File is missing header so it won't work in most applications

How did you transfer these from your friend? Contact your friend

  26. i dont have ultra fx2. But if it works there for you, then import it into there then export something else e.g. tiff or png image sequence, or uncompressed AVI again (with header) . The you can use that export in any program like AE

The file you have uploaded is missing header information (damaged)

  28. But these are not typical files. They are damaged and missing critical information that makes them unusable in most programs

Ask your friend to export something else (e.g. RGBA png sequence) , or even use lossless video compression e.g. lagarith RGBA

undamaged , uncompressed 8bpc RGBA/AVI will open in almost ANY application for windows, even free ones

  29. It's not an AVI file. It doesn't even look like raw RGB data.

  30. thanks all , please tell me how to delete the thread created by me
