    Hi,

    I would like to convert a H264 MKV file to uncompressed RGB AVI. I have looked at using VirtualDubMod, but it wants a "VFW" (Video For Windows) codec instead of a DirectShow codec in order to do this. Anyone know where I can find one that will work?

    Otherwise, does anyone know a program which will do this conversion with it's own codecs instead of looking at the one windows uses at the moment.

    Install ffdshow and enable its VFW h.264 decoder for VirtualDub.

    which won't actually work unless it was encoded with vfw avc.

    use avisynth with directshowsource()
