I've had this camera for a few months now and I'm quite happy with what I have.
The question I'm putting out there for TM(SD/HS)900 owners is: why does it randomly decide whether or not to go Read Only? This for me is a pain and the supplied software is crap to boot (thank heavens for Vegas).
When in read only mode I (obviously) can only copy not cut. This is troublesome for me as I often forget to delete the files afterwards because my D80 (nikon still camera) uses SD cards which aren't read only unless I flick the switch (old habits die hard). I find it troublesome trying to work out which files I have copied already, sometimes I end up copying them again and waste time and space on my PC.
Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers

Are you saying files you copied to the PC are somehow read only?
If that's the case, right click the file, select properties and toggle the "read only" property.

No, the problem is the camera runs in read only mode when connected to the computer. Once the files are copied they are okay. It's simply just a pain to disconnect it and delete the files on the camera after transferring. I was hoping someone might know why it sometimes does and sometimes doesn't go into that mode.
 Cheers

OK, I understand your issue. Sounds like you need to speak to somebody who has experience with your device.
