  1. i have a divx avi file with AC3 audio and im going crazy tryin to get it to convert to vcd. i have the AC3 codec installed but i get an error when tryin to make a wav file with virtual dub and nandub. when i load it in tmpge it says unsuporrted. and when i try with panasonic it makes my computer freeze up. is there any software i can use to make a wav file from the audio? id be very greatful for any help.

  2. i found out how to make it work. i searched forever on doom9 and a few other sites and the only method i could get to work is using the decomperssion tool that comes with avi2vcd and using that file as the audio source in tmpge.

  4. ok back to square 1. i thought i had but the audio was way out of sync. does anyone know the right way to do this if there is one?

  5. Use VirtualDUB to extract the audio as an AC3. Load AVI into VB, set Audio to Direct Stream Copy then save WAV. Rename WAV file to AC3 (it is actually the AC3 but VD will always call it WAV when you extract it this way & does not convert it), then use BeSweet to convert AC3 to WAV.

  6. And then have a 2 second wav file of a 1hr10 minutes ac3 file.
    How do I overcome this problem?
