  1. I'm new to all this stuff, I read the tutorials and downloaded DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink, but ran into problems...
What I want to do is make a copy of DVDs - (the workout series P90X, not a film) which has become scratched up due to my use and lending them out to friends. I want to copy the entire DVD to an external drive to have if I need to make a new DVD-R if the original becomes too damaged to use. The disc is pretty bare-bones, simple menu and options to turn off music or all sound.
I tried copying with both programs to the external drive, but they end up in several pieces, not one ISO file (I get - .I00, I01, .MDS).
Dont know whats up with that. How do I get them copied/saved as one ISO file?
    thanks for any help!

Use DVDFab Decrypter to rip the DVD, rather than DVD Decrypter. The latter, unfortunately, hasn't been updated in a number of years, so it's unable to handle many of the more recent DVD protection schemes.

Otherwise, are you selecting ISO mode/output in DVD Decrypter?

  3. The DVDs are rather old, I don't think theres much if any protection, I had no problem ripping them (except the outcome being several files).
I selected Mode - ISO - Read using DVD Decrypter.
Is it a problem with the Fat32 format, these discs aren't very big though...

No DVDDecrypter is probably NOT the problem - especially if you chose ISO mode and got more than ONE file! Make sure in the settings the file-size limitation is set to None (or Auto), and make sure the volume you're saving to is formatted as NTFS, not FAT32.

It could be a problem with FAT32, yes, if your DVDs are over 4GB (if they're double-layer DVDs). The largest size you can have for any single file under FAT32 is basically 4GB.

  6. I've done those before. They don't have any advanced encryption and DVD Decrypter is fine. Don't know why you'd need an ISO, though. Just decrypt them using DVDDecrypter's default File Mode. If I remember correctly, one may be a DVD-9, but I've done a few of those fitness DVD sets and might be wrong about that. You can also blank out and/or remove any of the garbage you don't want using VobBlanker and/or PGCEdit. Burn using ImgBurn.

Even SL DVDs that are close to full would be too big for Fat32.
