I'm starting out with a letter box sized DIVX source file. When I start TMPGEnc, I'm selecting that the source is 16:9 NTSC. It doesn't seem to matter which selections I pick, the encoding process always seems to make the end file full screen.
I've tried other encoding schemes like the VCD or SVCD and it comes out the same.
Am I missing some location to select the aspect ratio of the destination file? Or does the program just make the destination what it thinks the source file is?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Select your video and Audio files using the buttons on the main TmpGenc window, set up the output file also. Now load your desired template. Click load again and load unlock.mcf from the extras folder. Click settings. On the video tab set Aspect ratio to the desired value (16:9). On the advanced tab ensure source aspect ratio is 1:1 (VGA). This results in a 16:9 output video but if the source was not 16:9 you will end up with black bars top and bottom.
Works for me anyway!
