Hello,
My friends asked me to edit their wedding video and replace a lot of music etc.
I am using Vegas Pro to do that, and just using the VOB files from the DVD, however, when I join the VOBs in the timeline in Vegas, I get "skips" where files are joined, no matter if they are on grid and snap together. I tried editing manually, but there is no smooth transition like in the original playback DVD.
How do I rip the entire disc to one file I can drop into Vegas? Or is there a smooth way to join VOB.
Please help, many thank you!

If you just want one big file you can use Vob2Mpg to produce a single mpeg file from the dvd-video. You lose any existing menu, but this process will not degrade the quality of the video.
VobMerge can combine them into one big .vob file. Don't know if Vegas will like that as input or not. Won't hurt to try.
Both tools are free to download and use. -
