Ive been messing with making 5.1 AC3 files from a 4 channel recorder, the Zoom H2.
Id like to test a 4.0 or quad AC3, but not sure for the command line needed, or
the order of feed for the 4 mono WAV files for files.mux.
Any insight? Google was not much help on this specific need...
Thanks,
Andrew

I have read your previous thread also and here is short and sweet answer.Ive been messing with making 5.1 AC3 files from a 4 channel recorder, the Zoom H2.

ZooM H2 recorder is capable of recording 2 channels stereo and 4 channel quad wave.
If your recording is 2 channels stereo wav file, procedure would be pretty simple.
Any free-ware like eac3to, BeSweet or DaudioK and upmix to 5.1 ch Ac-3.
There are tons of guide here on VideoHelp and DooM9, follow them precisely.

If your recording is 4 channels quad wave files.....
As all sensors - mics are separated by 90 degree internally, mixing of channels depends on the orientation of ZooM H2 while recording.
The mixing procedure will be little complex and, make sure channels you are mixing with each-other has no phase difference at all.
Plus if your recording contains mic-hum, you need professional noise reduction plugin for your sound editor.
The best way is to consult owners manual or manufacturer guidelines.

If you expect someone can post detailed step-by-step guideline without owning ZooM H2 recorder,
it will never gonna happen coz it something like guessing in dark-sky without moon.
