  1. Hi,

I'm trying to convert subtitles from a Bluray movie to a regular DVD. I have converted everything else separately and am using Muxman to mux it all together.

I'm having trouble getting the Bluray .SUP subtitles too convert to DVD compliant .SUP subtitles. I have used BDSup2Sub and resized the subtitles to NTSC and exported as .IFO/.SUP, and the resulting .SUP file muxes OK, but upon playback the colors are all messed up - the text has blues and reds, making it hard to read the subs.

I understand you can edit colors in the IFO file - I have tried changing the blue and red to black and white through this method, but the resulting text is still quite messy and not very legible. Is there a way to use the .IFO file that BDSup2Sub creates, instead of the one that Muxman creates?

Is there a better way to convert Bluray SUP subtitles to DVD compliant ones, that keeps as much quality as possible and doesn't require any .IFO editing?

    thanks.

You can try use dvdsubedit to adjust the colors in the authored dvd.

  3. Thanks, I tried that before and wasn't able to get the colors right, but with more tweaking I have been able to make them more presentable. The trick is I needed to set the antialiase color to a light grey.
