Disabled header compression? In Mkvmergegui under File->Options and select "Disable header compression..." and then make a new mkv.

And I changed your thread title.

Welcome to the forums. Install MediaInfo and post the results here from your file. My guess is that your file contains stripped headers. I'm not sure if any BluRay/DVD/media players support that. We've been getting a lot of posts about it causing problems. It seems to be like GMC was in Divx a few years ago where any file that had it was going to be difficult to play. If your file does have stripped headers you'll have to research a way to fix that. A few of our members know what to do about it but as I've never seen it I don't remember what it takes to fix it.

Stripped headers is why it won't play on the LG. Either do a search for information on how to fix it or wait and see if someone tells you how to fix it here.

I have already told how to do that. Stripped headers = header compression.

You can also check so it actually does it, open mkv, click on the video/audio track, under extra options be sure the compression is set to none. Start muxing. Open the mkv with mediainfo and check what it says under muxing mode. It should not say header stripping.
