  1. I created a training video that is composed of multiple video files and now I'm trying to package them in a single cd/dvd. I'm looking for a software that could create an ISO image that includes a video player, my training video files and has the ability to organize my files into a list or some sort. When a user insert the training cd/dvd into the drive, the video player should auto run and play my video files. This video player should have a table of content or list of video files selectable to the user.

What is this type of software called? I have a hard time looking for it on google because I don't know what people in the industry call it. Any recommendation would be good. I prefer free software.

    Thanks for the help!

any computer user with half a brain has autorun disabled. there is no way to get a video to play if it is. not familiar with any player that will do what you want. sounds like custom software.

    Welcome david90

Mediamenu is pretty basic and gets the job done.

MediaCd is similar but includes the "write to cd" feature within the editor which is accessed via the main screen when first run.

Just make sure you test your creation prior to burning to media ...

neither one includes a media player on disc which is what he asked for, and it looks like they have to install software on the user's computer to get it to work.

You could add a program like VLC portable player to the disc. It plays most anything with no installing. http://portableapps.com/apps/music_video/vlc_portable

There is no need to install anything if one creates a project which use's wmv for windows media player ... or even rad video tools to create video's as exe's.

MovieLaunchPlus from doom9's tools section ... limited to 8 items according to the readme and includes install for codec's if needed ... thou that's generally frowned upon

It would depend upon the system and OS used. They might not be using Windows, and even the earlier versions of Windows might not necessarily have complete (or any) support for WMA/WMV installed.

Of course, if they're not using Windows, then EXEs probably aren't the best way to go, anyway. (And some might also be wary about running the EXEs, at that...)
