Hi All,

Anyone that can truly throw light on this problem will be my hero. I have several DivX files all of which are encoded at 23.98 fps. I want to burn these to DVD so first I need to convert to MPEG2 format. In order to do this I have a few options...CCE TMPEG or LIGOs. First however I need to sort out the video size as the original DivX are in all sorts of wierd frame sizes, as I want to put them on DVD they must be in a standard DVD frame size, PAL or NTSC. As I am in Europe I choose PAL 720 x 576. Therefore I use VirtualDub and it's excellent re-size filter to change the video frame size. Nothing else will do this anywhere near as well as VirtualDub. So now I have a new DivX file still at 23.98 fps but now 720 x 576. I am trying to use DVDit to author the DVD files, however DVDit will only accept MPEG2 files with either 25fps or 29fps format. Therefore before can encode the DivX file into MPEG2 I must change the frame rate. Now I could use VirtualDub to do this but it throws the audio totally out of sync and also changes the duration of the movie. Therefore I have tried importing the DivX into Premiere 6. This then allows me to export via Ligos or CCE at 25fps giving me a suitable MPEG2 file that DVDit will accept. BUT...the audio is out of sync. I have exported the original audio from the 23.98fps DivX as PCM and imported this alongside the re-sized DivX into Premiere, but they will not sync. They video and audio are exactly the same length, but they are not in sync.

What can I do to get this audio to sync up. I have wasted many many days on this. I have almost given up.
