I want to backup a Dual Layer DVD to XViD. The DVD running time is around two and a half hours so I'd expect my output would be two 700mb avi files. I haven't been here in years. When I was last here AutoGK was the program of choice. I've just tried their website and it seems to be down so I'm wondering is it still the best and simplest? I'd appreciate any feedback! Thanks guys!![]()

If you want xVID then autogk is the simplest. Has not been updated for years so maybe the author's site is down for good. But you can still get it by direct download from this site - just follow the link you created in your own post( or even the one in this reply).
But xVID is no longer the standard unless you really need to play your conversion on your dvd player. H264 and mkv will give better quality/compression than xVID.
So take a look at the forum for some more info. Quite a bit has changed in the last few years.
