    Hello,

I am making a movie in Windows Movie Maker and I am using videos that I downloaded off off youtube to make a slideshow video with different clips. The original videos weren't sized right to fill the whole screen so I resized them to 16:9 ratio and 1280x720p. The only problem is when I publish the Movie which is in 1280x720p HD it turns out pixelated and choppy. I used AVS video converter to convert the videos. Is there any way to stretch videos to fit a youtube style player without them loosing any quality?

and also SoopaFresh is awesome!!!! If anyone know where he is tell him thanks for me because I owe a debt to him

    This is for SoopaFresh ;(

What were the original resolutions of the clips? Upscale is lossy.

if you resize videos from 640x360 from youtube to 1280x720 you'll get those artifacts (pixelated).

    oops...eddv said it all

Most of the videos were in 480p in Mp4 format then I resized them to 720p in 16:9 ratio then converted them to AVI

. *sigh* I just wish Soopafresh was here he could solve anything

Just use 480p upload. Why convert to avi? YouTube will recode anyway.

I had to convert the clips to AVI to import them into Windows Movie Maker because It wouldnt read the mp4 files

    your workflow:

    1- get youtube videos
2- resize them - 1st conversion and loss of quality
3-convert to avi - 2nd conversion and further loss in quality
4- upload to youtube - 3rd conversion and further loss in quality

pump up the video bitrate in steps 2 and 3 and get better sources are my advices

1500 for 1280x720p? seems a bit low, thats what i use for 480x272 videos i share on the web, the higher the better but it wont do any magic, its kind of a "counter measure" to atenuate the loss of quality between conversions...no magic
