  1. Hi,

I'm converting using this command (but I'm seeing the problem with any preset) using WinFF:

    "C:\Program Files\WinFF\ffmpeg.exe" -i "C:\Kamera\020.MOV" -crf 15.0 -vcodec libx264 -acodec libfaac -ar 48000 -ab 192k -coder 1 -flags +loop -cmp +chroma -partitions +parti4x4+partp8x8+partb8x8 -me_method hex -subq 6 -me_range 16 -g 250 -keyint_min 25 -sc_threshold 40 -i_qfactor 0.71 -b_strategy 1 -threads 0 "C:\Kamera\020.mp4"

The result stutters on my (3 actually) PC's. It look great when streaming from my NAS to PS3 but looking at it in VLC is not possible. The video freezes and the sound continues.

I have downloaded some other software (like Movavi and Xilisoft) and there I can create similar files which plays just fine on my PC. Can anyone see why it just won't work with FFMPEG?

  2. Maybe it's a VLC playback issue ? or that build of VLC ?

Have you tried another player like MPCHC or KMPlayer ?

Don't think so. I tried to upgrade VLC to latest (1.1.10) but with the same result. I also tried KMPlayer which played the video fine but sound was way off. Also tried MPHC which played the video with sync'ed audio BUT the quality was really bad (like it was running with less color or similar).

As a reference, the same MOV file converted to the same specs (12.000kb MP4 with AAC) using Movavi video converter plays fine on all 3 players??

Is it a variable bitrate issue or something?
