Does anyone want to buy a working, refurbished Sony 24X/10X/40X CD-RW Internal burner from me? I'm selling it for $100.00, and I'll ship it to you for free. My brother bought this because he thought he could use it for his laptop. But he later found out it's for PCs.

    LMAO.

Didn't he notice that his laptop doesn't have ney IDE ports.

He needs to buy a firewire CD-RW or USB 2.0

they are as fast as IDE burners.

He could special order a burner from like Dell or Compaque or Toshiba.
    They make laptop cd-rw/DVD-ROM.

However, they only burn at like 8x while a firewire can do 16-24x and a USB 2.0 like 32x, but with USB 2.0, u have to buy a PCMCIA Bus card.

  3. actually you can use external drive kit to put your IDE cdrw into and connect it through your either USB 2.0 or Firewire, depending your external kit. So good luck.
