  1. hola,

I'm sort of new to this....I'm converting from AVI to MPEG with TMPGEnc,
and I'm not getting any audio! I'm not sure what I'm missing.

I either get no audio, or I get that "An error has occured when
    audio was decoded."

PLEASE HELP? Any ideas would be great.

    Thank you.

  2. I get the same problem too, today I tried encoding an avi files to MPEG-1 and I got no audio. Of course, I found a way to solve this small Issue .

Since the problem is coming from TMPGEnc, you need to show TMPGEnc what's the actual audio format you are using as a source. To do this, open up your avi file in VirtualDUB and go to File/Save Wave. Don't worry, all VDUB is goin to do is extract the mp3 audio files from the avi. After VirtualDUB is done, rename the .wav file to mp3 and load it up as audio source in TMPGEnc. That should solve your problem

  3. Ok, I saved the audio file through VDUB.
I saved it as a wave, and then tried again with TMPGEnc,
    and it didn't work.

Then I realized you said to rename it to mp3....did that...
tried it again, same problem. I only let the conversion role
for a minute or so, and then tried it (so I didn't have to wait
the whole time), but still no audio.

Grrr....any more suggestions for my initial conversion?

    THANKS!
