Slight prblem with noise.

My last bunch of encodes using VidCoder have been a little noisy. I've been setting deblocking at -2 -2.
Would this be the cause.

I was hoping for a sharper looking encode but finished up getting a slight about of noise.

Your question is too vague. Not enough information . There can be many causes for noise. Maybe your source was noisy?

use a higher bitrate or lower quantizer
