I downloaded a bunch of youtube videos, and i wanna get rid of some while keeping others. What's the best way to scan through them, where they will play like in super-fast motion, so i can monitor whats in them?

  3. Most media players have fast forward controls. VLC, for example. But there's a limit to how fast you can scan because your CPU will become overburdened at some point.

thanks for the replies, guys. I guess i'll have to just manually scan through them, slowly but surely, with VLC or whatever.

  5. On my dual core celeron CPU I can smoothly fast forward a 720x480 h.264 video at about 8x normal speed with VLC.

  6. My FREE custom software can play the first and or last few seconds of every MPEG video. Or it can randomly pick a video then a random start point within, playing for a preset number of seconds. In slow motion or not...

All video players should have this capability. Dumb ass software suppliers.
