I am wondering why when I save a file on one computer, it always adds _ between the words, but when I save the same file on my other computer it does not add the _
For example, I am sending myself a file called "Test File One"
I email it to myself and click to download on my desktop.
One computer will save it as "Test File One" but the other will save it as "Test_File_One". It always addes underscore. Not sure why. Both are usuing IE 8. One is Windows 7 and one is Windows XP. The Windows 7 always addes the underscore.

That's being done during the email process, I believe. Either your system or the server(s) handling the file is converting the spaces to underscores to be safe. (Sometimes, they'll use %## notation for characters like spaces... in that case, %20, I believe.)

Does it happen if you remove the email steps from the process? If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

If I use thumb drive, then the underscore goes away. Only happens with email attachments on my Windows 7 laptop. My Windows XP laptop saves it as how it is titled.

Long ago spaces were not legal in file names. Some programs continue to replace spaces with underscores.

Winxp uses outlook express and windows 7 has no default email program so the email program(winmail?) you are using in windows 7 is saving the files that way by default I think, therefore i am a hamster.
