    I AM TRYING TO RIP PLANET OF THE APES WITH SMARTRIPPER, AND EVERY FILE IS READABLE EXCEPT THE LAST ONE AND IT IS LOCKED, IVE TRIED TO UNLOCK WITH A PLAYER BUT NO LUCK. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

    maybe you should try a different dvd player. but if nothing else works you can always use sector extractor, which is basically a fail-proof method.

    I have a problem sometimes with smartripper saying a file(s) are locked. To get by it I play the DVD first on powerdvd and then try to rip it again and now its unlocked. Give it a shot

    i believe the newer dvddecryptor's don't require you to play the dvd with powerDVD/winDVD first....

    but do as Qubix sez first, play it in your software dvd player first....(you may want to leave the software dvd player on and paused and try using smartripper)
