  2. MPEG-2 encoding with TMPEGEnc doesn't require a plug-in, this feature is standard.

    It is limited to 30 days trial use, though. If you want it for more you have to buy the "plus" version, or try your luck on the net for a solution.

  3. if it is standard, why can't I load the mpeg2 file into it?? it shows up as "Illegal MPEG video stream" ??

    supacoopa: yes, tmpgenc support mpeg2 encoding but not mpeg2 decoding that tsay is referring to.

    tsay: it should be enough to extract the files to tmpgenc folder and it should work. or else you could try installa mpeg2 reader codec www.vcdhelp.com/vcdtools.htm#codecs or use the dvd2avi method www.vcdhelp.com/mpeg2tovcd.htm
