Hi,, newbie on here and am hoping for someone to help me with my new HD 720 BLACK BOX VEHICLE DVR CAMCORDER. I am very happy with the video quality but it has these strange bright light reflections off and on through out the videos. I have tried adjusting the lens somewhat for glare and it does this on sunny and cloudy days so I know it isn't the sun reflecting.
    thanks Piper.

Well that did not work,, my sister thinks it has something to do with white balance, but this camera settings are all automatic and cannot change them, it is a sin really as it's wide fishbowl video is awesome other than the videos looking like it's going through a lightning storm. Thanks anyways, will keep looking online for advice.

  5. You could try to attach a neutral density filter to the cam (has it got a lens thread?). try ND2 ord ND4 first - video will loose light and look a bit less sharp, however...
    Go ahead, make my day!

  8. This video?

The bright flashing of the entire frame seems to be a problem with the camera's automatic gain. Can you lock the exposure and aperture? It's also having problems with the white balance wandering around.

The fact that this happens even when the car is standing still and there is no significant movement in the frame implies there is something wrong with the camera.

If you can document that you contacted the seller about the problem before the warranty ended you still have a case.

Grab a pair of old polaroid glasses and place one of the lense's in front of the camera's lens about an inch apart and see how that works with controlling glare, ect.

You mean sunglasses? and how would i mount that lens to the cam while mounted to my car window, I am truly thank ful for all the help and will try anything.

  13. I suppose you might as well try it. Just hold one lense of the sunglasses in front of the camera while standing still. See if the periodic flashing stops. Remember, use polarized sunglasses, not just dark lenses.

I'm pretty sure they will make no difference since that's not the problem you're having.
