You could try FRAPS. It can capture about anything you can see on your screen. I prefer it over Camtasia. I would try the 1/2 screen size as it uses a lot less disk space. I then drop it into VirtualDub to convert to more compact format.

  7. I don't want to capture the screen, i want to grab the video and download the actual file. I know its possible since Horriblesubs does it every week, but they are slow at releasing it so i'd like to be able to do it myself.

If you can't download from there have you tried looking for them on hulu? They have a bunch of anime and streamtransport works just fine for hulu

There are various commercial streaming media recording programs that might work, but I'm guessing that our original poster isn't interested in that.

Not talking about multiple video sites, hulu is easy to grab videos off of, this site isn't.

I Want to download a video when it's released so i can watch it on my 50"

Not a bother, just letting you know that if i could have gotten from that site i wouldn't be asking how to get from this one.

Not sure what you mean, if you mean something like camtasia\hypercam that records my screen then no I'm not looking for that, i need the audio with it and i don't have a microphone so i don't know how i would get it.

I know there is a program or some way to get it, but i just don't know what it is.

Is anyone even able to view these videos? I've been to this site a couple of times today but I can't get anything to play. When I click the play button, it just sits there saying "please wait" but never plays anything.

I assume you have to be a member to be able to view the videos and if you want to save the videos then you have to buy them. There are Shop, View Cart and Buy Episode buttons so I assume that if you want the videos then you have to buy them or as others have mentioned, use a screen capture software to get them (yes, screen capture programs do audio capture also). We shouldn't be giving any advice on how to get these videos since it is against the forum rules. If the website wanted you to be able to get these episodes for free then they would not have gone through all the trouble of making it practically impossible to get them for free and they would not be charging people to download them.

  16. Nope, the video is completely free to stream, it's Simulcasted with the japanese release. But i don't want to stream it on my smaller screen, i bought a big tv for a reason.

The rest of the shows are free to stream as well (http://www4.funimation.com/video/) But i don't care about them since there are better quality ones already released for older episodes.

At least it is for the US, I'm not sure about other countries any if its playable in them or not.

I can play the ones from the link in your last post but the only thing that I can record with replay media catcher is the commercials.

I found a link for the new episode on youtube but it was taken down for copyright infringement.

  18. You can find links up in about 1-3 hours depending on how long it takes, but i'd like to be able to do it myself so i don't have to wait for them.

Websites like this usually make it impossible to download the clips. I got threatened by FOX for downloading "Terminator_The Sarah Connor Chronicles" series off of Bearshare during the first season. The second season, they started showing the episodes on their website on a special player. You still could not download the episodes but I used Snagit to capture the episodes in HD without any commercials and without watermarks. The videos that I captured were way better than any of the clips that I downloaded off of Bearshare or captured to my computer using my Hauppauge card.

  20. They try to, but it's not impossible. There are plenty of sites who rip it off the time it's released is anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours after its simulcasted, i just want to know how so i don't have to bother waiting.

They're probably using a screen capture software. If software can't figure out the top secret place where the website stores it's videos then it has no way to download the files. If you could figure out the URL for the movies then you could use a download manager to download the files.

Since I cannot get the videos to even play on this website, I can't be of any help at all. There is no help or FAQ so I can't find out why I am not able to view the videos.

  22. They don't use screen capture...like i said sometimes they release it within a few minutes of it streaming, so it would be impossible for them to do that.

I didn't upgrade this week but I did upgrade last week. Adobe seems to come out with a new update every week. Firefox just updated a couple of days ago also.

I can watch flash videos on all the other sites I watch flash videos on. I just can't watch anything on this website. I have no idea why.

EDIT: I can watch episode 488 but the new episode 489 will not play. Searching the funimation site shows no results for this video so I do not believe that it is available.

I tried stream transport for episode 488 on hulu but it fails with a handshake error. CRTMPDownload::InnerProcessDataDriverExp::Data-driven threads stopped unexpectedly because of (CRTMPEHandShake.cpp:154:RTMP_LIB::CRTMPEHandShake ::InnerProcessPeer0::HandShake:send 6 but receive 9.).

I downloaded it using rtmpsrv to get the command line for rtmpdump and using rtmpdump for the actual downloading. All command line stuff. No gui available. Kind of a pain in the ass to do but it is doable. Couldn't get it to work at all in windows but it worked fine in a VM of ubuntu 10.4.

Here is the threads that give info on how to do it.
    http://stream-recorder.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7070

When you get to the step requiring rtmpsuck use rtmpsrv instead. It will output the command line necessary for rtmpdump.
Then you'll need to clear the redirect
    Code:
    sudo iptables -t nat -F
then download your stream using the command line that rtmpsrv created for you.

Like I said it's a long drawn out process that is all command line. Although you could probably set up a shell script to automate most of it.
