    Hey all,

I've seen similar posts about my problem but I couldn't quite understand the responses.

I shot video on a DVC Pro tape, edited it on FinalCut and then tried to copy the movie to a DVD+R (both 8x and 16x).

When I watch the DVD, weird (horizontal) lines show up around the subject's face when they move around.

Any ideas why or what I can do to get rid of them?

What you are seeing are the interlacing lines. To get rid of them (or to minimize them) you are going to have to be more specific as to the settings you used when you shot the video.

Also, how did you encode them, author the DVD-R, burn it, etc.
