    Hi guys what would you say is the best FREE video capture software?

    I currently have CamStudio but I had a hell of a time setting it up and I still dont think its entirely stable.

    I'm after something that doesn't take long to setup and doesnt cause any bullshit issues (like CamStudio, hahaha).

    I guess you mean screen capture software? Not any analog video capturing for you capture card.

    And what/why do you capture? Games? Streaming video? Or making tutorials or?

    games (quake 1), and preferrably in fullscreen mode but I can handle windowed modes if it is the only option.

    ive heard fraps is good with the exception of needing a lot of HD space.
