I have a sony bluray player and when I use discs created from SVCD the sound stutters, any idea why?
If I watch them on my PS3 they work fine, is there something simple to fix this?

I don't think you will find any solution. Some players just don't have that good support for older formats like vcd, svcd or svcd2dvd created dvds(maybe mp2 audio). -
I do apologise, I thought it would just be a setting somewhere within the program maybe to do with chapters etc...but thanks anyway.

Is it a regular stuttering, or only occasional?
It's possible that you've got a non-standard SVCD; The bitrate may be too high, or there might be an incompatibility with the resolution and frame rate, or problems with the audio format. Some players can handle 'out of spec.' discs better than others. Might also be a problem with the brand of disc you're using.
Download mediainfo, open the source video with it, select View>Text and post the details here.
What software are you using to create the discs? Have you changed any of the settings from the defaults? -
no not chamged amy settings and im using the latest version of svced2dvd. The sound is fine for a period then it jumps about for a few second then fixes itself then does it again every minute or so.

Also im using Tuffdisc dvds
If the sound jumps roughly every minute then it's unlikely to be related to the chapter points (unless you've got very short chapters). I haven't used svcd2dvd, and without information from mediainfo it's hard to guess what the problem might be.
Are you using DVD-RW or DVD-R discs? Single or double layer?
For compatibility I'd use a single layer DVD-R and burn significantly slower than the rated speed on the DVD. If the discs are labelled for 16x burning, try burning at 8x - doing so would lower the chance of it being a burn/media related problem. If you're still getting glitches, it would suggest authoring issues.
I haven't used Tuffdisc - I usually stick to Verbatim 'AZO' DVD-R discs which work well.
