I was hoping someone here could help me with a problem.
My company has about 250 Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1010 cameras we use for field survey work. The nature of the work means they MUST have the "Full Range" focus mode that switched between macro and normal automatically.
Now we need 200 additional cameras by the new HD2000 that replaced the HD1010 no longer has this mode. You must switch manually between macro and normal. This is a disaster for us.
Does anyone here know if there is a solution for this? Any of the following would work for us:
1) Anyone know of a source for refurbished or NOS HD1010 cameras?
2) Is there any way to put the firmware from an HD1010 onto a HD2000 or to get custom firmware?
3) Anyone know of a camera with a similar form factor and with similar controls that would have full range focus?
We are really desperate!!!
