  1. I have been using Milotis' guide for backing up Blu-Ray discs for a year or so. Everything has been working fine up until a couple of months ago. Now when running BD Rebuilder, it hangs at about 50% and then the computer shuts down. Has anyone seen this problem?

    thanx

Check the BSOD log file and see what it says. If it exists.

Or it could be an overheating problem and the bios shut downs your computer.

  3. A number of things can cause BDRB to crash, from a bad rip to corrupted Haali splitter, to....lots of things. You gave almost no information.

But the fact that the *computer* shuts down leads me to suspect the fault is not with BDRB or associated software. Maybe overheating, a bad memory module, or?

[EDIT] Beat me again! Anyway, to elaborate: X264 will not run your computer near 100% usage on the first pass. Especially if you have more than two cores. The second pass *will* push the CPU harder though. Do you have BDRB set for two-passes? I'd check overheating first.

  4. Cleaned my fans and relocated CPU and that took care of the overheating problem and everything works great now. It was overheating. Thanks for your help
