  1. I was wondering if someone could help me. I'm trying to duplicate some of my dvd's that are dual layer. I've read up on the ways to do it, (seems to me like it's easier to buy a duplicate of my dvd in the store than go through the long time process of converting to fit on a 4.7.) Is there a program or an easier way than ripping and changing the bitrate manually, to make a 7gb dvd movie fit on a 4.7 gb dvd that will do this automatically? Or is there a program that will automatically split the dvd in two so that it can be put on a 9.4gb hard drive?

Also I've seen this formula floating around...

    Rip with smartripper
get d2v and wav with DVD2AVI
use d2v in TMPGenc to make 29.97 fps ntsc m2v file.
use bitrate calculator to know what rate to encode at, based on the length, and desired filesize (disc size - 400mb - wav)
make a few menu pages and buttons
stick m2v and wav into dvd authoring program
    burn.

I'm Using an Apple SuperDrive (Is this even possible with IDVD2)

    Thanx
