Hi i was trying to use handbrake for the first time as i usually use ripbot but was having trouble with a movie timing out for some reason.
anyway with handbreak how do i set up the picture to show 1920 x 1080 as this is as the original source.
the help menu didnt make to much sence for me.
i tried it once with the width & height at 1920 x 1080 and the box ticked keep aspect ratio but it came out as 4:3.

    cheers.

What does mediainfo say about the resoulution and aspect ratio in the converted file?

    Check also http://lifehacker.com/5559007/the-hassle+free-guide-to-ripping-your-blu+ray-collection

But I would instead try BD Rebuilder(yep it converts to mp4,mk4) or BluRip. Handbrake isn't perfect for blu-ray sources.

no i had this turned off.
ive tried to back up this movie using ripbot & BD rebuilder and neither will work on this movie, handbrake worked but i think i had the wrong settings i am tring to keep it as the original source 1920 x 1080 or close to it if i can.

just about everthing with this program i think i have right just need to work out how to set up the picture size.

    cheers
