Does anyone know much about these? Does it act as a TBC as well?
Any tips would be appreciated.

Product description from http://www.transtel.com.my/dnr.htm offers these statements:
"The 8-bit Kudos NRS50 is a powerful noise reducer containing multipurpose digital 3D median, recursive and spatial low pass, including digital decoding, SDI output and TBC/synchronizer functions for all round versatility."
...and...
"A TBC/synchroniser and video processing amplifier provides superior operational flexibility."
Is that unit still on the market? S & W products are not exactly cheap either. -
Thanks, just found out the practical way too by trying to record an old FOX copy protected vhs.
Certainly strips the macrovision.
