DVD to VCD using DVDX -> Panasonic Plugin problem

I have tried DVD to VCD using DVDX without any plugin but unfortunately, the picture quality was very choppy and bad. I am now thinking of getting Panasonic plugin to work.
I have tried it before but couldn't get it to work. DVDX doesn't detect it. Do u know how to install it? Also, do u need Adobe Premiere to run it.

Also in DVDX output settings, what RESIZE FILTER do u use?

Ya, I was trying it the other day, without using the Panasonic plug-in as I could not get it to work...

I have just now reinstalled it and DVDX is detecting it now. I will give another go , with the plugin ofcourse and let you know how I went.

Meanwhile I tried the guide by Dhruv Bhatia on http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdbackup.htm. It gives bad quality picture as well.

I'm glad i have found someone with the same problems as me!
Tell me how did you install the plugin?
Everytime I try to install the plugin it accepts it puts info on my program files but nothing!
There is a file that seems to be missing though?
cm-mpeg-pwi2.5e.prm
what program is that file supposed to be on?
I am a novice user so idiots English would be great!!

I ultimately got it to work.I had downloaded the stand alone version...Should have got the plug-in type version ...doh...so dumb of me ...
After that just install the plug-in in the same directory as DVDX...

BTW, I tried using panasonic but the quality wasn't any better...So I switched to SVCDs wth around 1800KBPS...that gives good quality but sometimes jerky video not really smooth...so i am now thinking to use TMPGenc along with DVDX

Although you installed the plugin did you have adobe Premiere in there as well?
Let me know how you get on with TMPGenc because it is an evaluation version only got 25 days left and it won't let you use the help files on the program
